Elation and jubilation, cheers and screams,
The new year is here, happy new year,
Everyone is joyful, they have all crossed over,
Goals and promises, ambitions and affirmations,
All said, confessed, affirmed and written,
After a while, it dwindles down,
Things goes back to normal, Just as always,
We have seen this before, it occurs every year,
Welcome to the new year.
