It's not in the lightnings. It's not in the firecrackers and fireworks. It's not in the melodious carols. It's not about travelling miles to visit friends. It's not about the delicious meals. It's not about the fun and gifts. It's not about the fancy clothings and wears. It's beyond the periphery of human engagements. Christmas Is all about love. Christmas Is about love to all. It cannot be captured in a snapshot. Neither can it be expressed in a day. It's a season that stretches through years. That brings back pleasant memories.  As we create new ones. They take all from you. Leaving you high and dry. They always come to you. When in need and in trials. Always taking without replenishing. Not Leaving till you're finished. Leaving you empty when they are gone. They take everything without giving none. Superficial emotions to grasp your attention. Plastic love without affection.  Energy drainers aren't friends. Keep them away , they don't care.

Afraid to look yourself in the mirror. You ignore your inner child. You can't stand your presence. You're afraid of being alone. The voice in your head. Keeps telling you trash. You aren't happy alone. You can't forgive yourself. But easily forgive others. You love others. You loathe yourself.

I woke up feeling sullen. Feeling heavy like a beast of burden. I put on my regular persona, as I went out. Beaming with smiles as I sink inside. I carry out my task as a normal human.  Inspiring and comforting friends and colleagues. I am the one that everyone looks up to. Deep down I am about giving up. Some are  downcast and sad. Others are elated and "fine" Don't ignore the glaring and subtle signs. This is how depression can be. @ Toobrightanthony  

Alone with my thoughts. Trying against all odds. Not to succumb to this darkness. Marauding over my feelings. Thick murky dark lump. Up in my throat. Seizing my voice. Blocking the passage of air.  The more I  lift myself. The deeper I sink. Into this deep dark river. Swallowing my being. I don't know what I feel. Anger, sadness or grief. I no longer want to live. The language of love. Simple, yet complex. Spoken by many. Understood by few. Has different dialects. Agape, erotic, platonic.  Just to mention a few. Connotes different meaning. To some it's kind. To some it's harsh. To some it's cool. To some it's tough. The languages of love. Simple, yet can't be understood.

The flavours of love. Different colours and spices. Quite tasty and enticing. Colourful and spicy. Flavours of love. Spices and colours love. Sweetens and nourish affection. Makes love a temptation. Flavours of love. Salty as an ocean Dry as an empty river. Toxic and differs. The flavours of love. Differentd people, different reality. Some can be frustrating.  Make sure you are winning.

The daily grind. To make a living. A mill, always rotating. From morning to evening. A cycle unending. From birth to death. A must on earth. Every soul that liveth. Must toil the depth. To feed or be feed. To pay or be paid. Only the dead are freed. From the daily grind  @Toobrightanthony 

You left home in search of gold. The road wasn't smooth as you were told. It's challenging you need to be bold. Don't give up or lose hope. You left home to find self. Everyone has a poison. The word you tell yourself. To justify your proclivities. It doesn't eliminate the risk of poisoning Gambling, sex, drugs or alcohol. Choose your poison, the list is endless. The lie they tell you. To keep you addicted. It keeps you going. It's fun and uplifting  The words they tell you.  So you will remain a slave. Everyone has a poison. Don't give in to pressures. Guide your soul, keep it  whole. Don't feed it negative thoughts. Make sure it's always wow. Without it, you can’t live fine. Guide your heart, keep it safe. Don't give it out without thinking twice. Make  sure the person is worth your price. If it's broken,  you can’t live fine. Guide your body, feed it right. Keep it healthy, stay away from fights. Make sure  you exercise and rest. If it's sick , you can’t live fine.

Right from the start. I was told I am a star. That will shine bright. And get everything right. I carried this weight this while. Always going the extra Mile. Trying to live up to the hype. I forgot about my desires and wants. To many I am the perfect guy. The desire of every child.  I killed my inner-child. Trying to keep up to the hype.

On the edge. About to give up. Nothing seems fine. You are done trying. Hope exhausted.  Spirit defeated. You feel this is the end. Just end it at once. But you're made for more. This is no lie. Or trying  to make your smile. This is just a dark phase in life. The end is always Bright. If there's no darkness.  How will you shine your light?

Sparing none, It spread far and wide, Embracing its victims with a death's grip. Transitioning souls against their wishes. The grime-ripper, the soul stealer. The unwanted visitor, that brings only pain. A visit everyone everyone must get. When the appointed time is nigh. An inevitable price, each of us must pay. I hope we find the strength, to shoulder the grieve death brings.

The dark part. That harbours demons. Always chained and caged. But still find its way  out. During burst of anger, When high on spirits. Or in emotional outburst. To wreck havoc. To destroy relationships. The dark part of us. Is in us, it's part of us.

Munch! Munch! Munch! My mouth is always busy. To keep my mind from wandering. Or dwelling in my miseries. Body is fattening  Waistline keeps increasing Unending appetite,  Insatiable cravings. Munching  a lot of junks, I eat deep into my depression. My moniker ; fatty. Is now my identity. Maybe if people understand me. They will know why I am a food addict.

Morning, noon, evening and night. Summer, winter, autumn and spring.  Different stages ,different phases. Each occurs at its time. Children, teenagers, adults and elders. Different stages of life. Different expectations and demands. Each occurs at its time. Each, to his or her own. Different strokes for different folks. None is better than the other. I have my flaws and fears. I have my worries that makes me stress. My pretty face and perfect body. Can't erase my human worries.  I have big muscles, and yet I am scared. You think I have the perfect life. But i still feel sadness, and  shed tears. I am sorry I gave you the wrong impression. I am sorry for painting myself perfect. I know it's hard to believe that I make mistakes. Don't be surprised, I make a lot of them. I know you think I am perfect.  I am human,  i am not perfect. @Toobrightanthony2022.

Our work, our source of livelihood. Epitome of purpose. Where we live, and spend most of  our days. The modern living, the typical routine. Our work, our dwelling place. The mask that shields us from reality. Our escape route from facing life. The fold that blinds us from ourselves. Our work, our identity. We  are always there, where we always dwell.  8 to 4, or  9 to 5 daily, and some weekends too. We live at work, and visit home.

Broken heart. Teary eyes. Depressed soul. Blanked mind. All these occur. Always seeking company. Even where there aren't any. You fill your time with activities. To escape the boredom eating you deep. In all chat rooms, you're present. Because you can't stand your presence. You're the live of every party. You life is a sympathy. Until you embrace your loneliness. Your life will remain tasteless. Fall in love with your boredom. And you soul will experience freedom.

Always putting on a smile. Showing everyone I am OK and fine. I am the ideal guy, the perfect dude. That everyone wants to be like. I am the beautiful and flawless lady. That other women envy. I Threw out old boxes, Regrets and photographs, Empty pockets and lockets, That reminds me of you. I deleted folders and archives. I destroyed albums and souvenirs. I burnt bridges and built walls. In the end it was just me and my thoughts, A painful trap, long after you were gone. I still relive your memories every evening. Reminiscing on the time we shared together. And the love we shared and had. I wish it was all true. I wish wasn't so gullible. I would have seen the signs. That it was all fun to you. I am caught up in this painful trap.
