The ghost of heartbreak lurks around, 

It shows up when love is about to found,

Showing similarities with the hurtful past,

Assuring you that this may not last.

The ghost of heartbreak lurks around,

It bruises the flesh of old wounds,

Digging up memories of broken ties,

Reminding you of their deceit and lies.

The ghost of heartbreak lurks around, 

It doesn't die, it rest in our minds,

It spring up once in a while, 

So we shouldn't forget the pains of betrayal.
