The Past Isn't In The Past.



The past is not in the past,
It shows every now and then,
No matter how hard we deny,
The past shows up in the present.

The past doesn't stay buried,
It's pops up from the grave of history,
Even when it is deeply buried,
It always finds its way to the surface.

The past is part of our lives,
No matter how hard we deny,
We cannot wipe out a life we lived,
We can only accept it, so we can heal.
